January’s Theme: Guiding!

Tickets:
We are helping the Knights of Columbus sell tickets for the Arthritis Society. In return, we may get a donation towards our winter camp. Ticket stubs and money ($20) are due back by February 10th.

Please Note: For any outdoor event, parents may not leave their child without the leader’s consent. This is to ensure that the youth are properly dressed for the event.

Jan. 20: Outdoor meeting
We’re going on an Urban Hike. Please dress for the weather and mug-up.

Feb. 7: Winter Cuboree
Where: RJ Kennedy Community Centre, Cumberland
When: February 7th, 2009 from 10 am to 3 pm
What: Outdoor activities with other Packs from Odawa Area.
Cost: $12 due by January 20th. Cheques made out to “1st Rockland Scout Group” to be given to Mang, please.
Note: Lunch and snacks provided. Dress for the weather.

Feb.27 to Mar. 1: Winter Camp
Where: Camp Opemikon, Perth
When: February 27th to March 1, 2009
Drop-off between 7 to 8 pm on Friday. Pick-up at 1 pm on Sunday.
What: Outdoor activities.
Cost: $65 with $25 due by January 20th. Cheques made out to “1st Rockland Scout Group” to be given to Mang, please.
Note: Suggested kit list and driving directions to be provided shortly. Carpooling strongly encouraged. Travel time from Rockland is close to 2 hours.

Sleepover

Hi Pack,

November 28, 29 is our sleepover at the Clarence Creek arena.

Bring your Skates, helmets, sleeping bags, mess kit and a good attitude to help make this a fun adventure for all of us!

If you are joining us for the Public Skate, then please arrive at 1800 so you can put your stuff upstairs beforehand.

If you don't have your skating badge, this will be a perfect opportunity for you to earn it, so bring your Cub Book.

We have lots of special activities planned and cost will depend on how many are going so let us know if you can come ASAP.

Fall Cuboree

Hi all,

The first camp of the year takes place on the 19-21 of September at Apple Hill.

We'll go over what to bring and what not to bring at the first meeting.

It looks to be an awesome weekend, so bring your GOOD attitude, and have a GREAT time.

See you at the campfire at Tucker House on the 10th, full uniform please.
